I was born in Rome and since I was a child I was exposed to art. I learned to draw and to paint from my mother Adriana Clarici, a self-taught impressionistic artist and from my aunt Gugliemina Clarici an accomplished portrait painter.
After graduating from medical school I moved to Long Island, NY with my husband. I kept painting while practicing medicine as a pathologist
and I continued my art training.
I studied with Charles Pasqualina at the "Roslyn School of Art" and with Attila Ejja at the "Stevenson Academy". I also attended numerous workshops including at the Long Island Art Academy and at the Duglaston National Art League.
Over the years I did commissioned portraits, I won awards at local art exhibits and I was accepted to participate at many group shows including juried competitions at "The Connecticut Society of Portraits Artist" and the "Salmagundi Club" in Manhattan.
I started teaching drawing and painting in Garden City and privately a few years ago and I host a weekly open studio time with a group of women artist at my house.
My husband and I raised two beautiful children
now both psychiatrists living in NYC.
